photos of quilts being stretched and 'Come and Show days'
This is where quilters meet to spend the day,
working at their individual projects, or on group or raffle quilts.
There has been a flurrie of quilt stretching as a deadline for the completion of the scrap quilts was set for the AGM date on 13th September.

at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham in August.

Joy Elphinstone's quilt, a variation of the sampler quilt being made by the group, being stretched on the quilt frame and layered, ready to quilt. Joy is making this quilt to be used at Oakhaven Hospice.

Due to its size, Lesley's very large quilt (made using Kim Porter 'washed and worn' fabric) had to be stretched at one of our meetings, in order to use the hall! March 2011
Ilda's beautiful, nautical themed quilt, made for her son,
is now being quilted in thick embroidery threads.
Val's use of colour really shows up the Log Cabin design of her lovely quilt
